Logo Design & Idenity Package for St. Louis Metro East Educational Company

Visual Lure recently designed a new logo and identity package for the da Vinci Tree, an educational training company focused on teaching children a technology-based curriculum.  The company is currently in its development stages and plans to launch soon in the St. Louis Metro East, then St. Louis with the ideal goal of eventual going national.  The logo design we created for them features Da Vinci’s Vitruve Luc Viatour (Vitruvian Man), who’s arms create branches and who’s legs create roots in order to from a tree.  We had fun designing this logo and we believe it was the perfect solution; clean, clever, simple and memorable – everything a great logo should be.

10 Year Anniversary Logo Design for St. Louis Parks & Rec. Department

Visual Lure was recently contracted by the City of Des Peres’ Department of Parks & Recreation to design a new 10 year anniversary logo for The Lodge Des Peres.  The Lodge is an indoor and outdoor aquatic facility with a fitness center, gymnasium and meeting rooms.

The Lodge provided us with the Parks & Rec logo, and The Lodge logo as seen below. During our discovery stage, we found the Des Peres crest, also show below to the right of the other two logos.  The Department requested that we include some of the elements in those logos into a couple of our proposed designs.  Below, you can see how we incorporated some of those components into our initial options.  In the circular logo below, we used the Des Peres crest shape for the anniversary shield and in the bottom right logo we used the tree from the Parks & Rec logo along with the Lodge illustration.

Logo Design for St. Louis Area Car Wash & Gas Station

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a logo for Tidal Wave Car Wash, a new St. Louis area car wash and gas station currently in the planning stages.  The only creative direction we received from our client was that he wanted to use a tidal wave in the new logo. We came up with the initial batch of logos below, and underneath those you will find the final logo with and without a colored background.

The final logo features a tidal wave morphing into an automobile tire.  We think it is a pretty clever and memorable solution.

Two Visual Lure Logos to be Published in Upcoming Logo Lounge 8

Visual Lure just received the following email from LogoLounge, the most prestigious logo design publication in the World: “The judging for LogoLounge Volume 8, has been completed. We are excited with the exceptional quality level of work selected for this eighth volume. This was an incredibly competitive judging session with over 35,000 logos entered for consideration. We are also very pleased to inform you that your work has been chosen for inclusion in the new book by an international panel of judges. This years panel included, Mikey Burton of Mikey Burton Design & Illustration, Quique Ollervides of OLLERVIDES, Katie Kirk of Eight Hour Day, Fraser Davidson of Sweet Crude, Debbie Millman of Sterling Brands, Ty Mattson of Mattson Creative,  Mike Abbink of Wolff Olins, and Simon Frouws of Simon Frouws.”

The logos we designed for Tony Calarco Photography and Standard Construction Group were both selected for this publication.  These will be our 10th and 11th logos published in a LogoLounge book.  We are greatly honored to have been selected once again.

Logo Design Upgrade/Cleanup for Florida Fishing Tournament

Visual Lure was recently contracted to upgrade/clean up an existing logo for Get The Net, a big game fishing tournament held in the Florida Keys.  All our client had was a low resolution photocopied version of the logo, so we redrew the fish, extended his body to fit the area better, and moved the “established in 1997” from the fish’s belly to the left and right of the illustration to fill up the blank space and to better balance the logo.

Below is the original logo the client provided us, and underneath that are all the formats we provided, including one, two and three color logo design options.

Photographer Logo Design for Canadian Photography Studio

Crystal Clear Images, a professional photography studio located in Newfoundland, Canada, recently hired Visual Lure to design a new logo and custom WordPress website/theme.  The new website will feature easy to maintain photography portfolios and a seamlessly integrated blog.
