Logo Design for St. Louis Business/Life Coach

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a logo for St. Louis based business and life coach Rodney Mueller. Rodney uses his life experiences, including what he learned as an Army Drill Sergeant, to motivate and coach businesses and individuals. He wanted his logo to use chevrons (the inverted v-shaped military symbol used to indicate rank or length of service) to nod to his military background but in a subtle way. He also wanted the logo design to have a human element to make it more friendly and approachable.ย  We solved these design requirements by combining two chevrons to create a person as seen below. T-Shirt/Logo Design for WPPI Speaker

We recently went to Las Vegas for the 2012 Wedding and Portrait Photographers International tradeshow, more commonly knows as WPPI. I believe it is the largest photography tradeshow in the World with an attendance close to 16,000 people.ย  We went there for a couple reason: 1) to support our friend and client Salvatore Cincotta who spoke to a packed platform class of approximately 800 people about taking their business to the next level.ย  And 2) to offer his class and others a limited time special on logo design and branding.ย  For those of you who don’t know Sal, he is an international award winning photographer, speaker, educator and published writer.ย  His class featured a live performance by Ingrid Michaelson (courtesy of Song Freedom), a t-shirt gun, free giveaways, Q and A’s and more, not to mention some excellent tips and business advice for photographers. One of Sal’s main speaking points is about finding and using what he calls your X Factor, defining what’s different about your company and using it to your advantage.ย  Since this is one of his core messages he wanted some X Factor t-shirts made to give away during his speech, or should I say blast them into the crowd using a t-shirt gun.ย  You can see the t-shirts we designed below.

Visual Lure Launches New Website for a St. Louis Based Photo/Wedding Album Company

Visual Lure recently launched The Signature Collection website.ย  The Signature Collection is an online photo/wedding album company that was the brainchild of Salvatore Cincotta.ย  Sal is an international award winning photographer who felt the market was lacking a user friendly photo album solution, so we helped him develop a website that was easy to use, easy to order from and easy to upload images to once the order was placed.ย  We modeled many of the store’s features after Apple’s platform with real time pricing, sliding previews and more.ย  The front-end of the website is built in WordPress so that their staff can easily maintain those sections, and the store, along with the Virtual Album Builder were built in PHP with a fully custom admin section.ย  The Virtual Album Builder allows registered users to build their albums online with a preview of the product and real time pricing.

You must be a professional photographer to register and order their products. (We also designed the logo)

Visual Lure Celebrates Its 10 Year Anniversary

We’ve been so busy designing world class logos, design savvy, user friendly, search engine optimized websites, award winning packaging designs and more, that we almost forgot we’ve officially been in business for 10 years (freelancing even longer, since the mid 90’s). We would like to thank all our customers, past and present, for the support and partnerships we’ve built. We couldn’t have done it without you.ย  We look forward to many more years to come.

Graphic Design for St. Louis Metro East Auto Auctioning Company

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a 12 page brochure for ABC (Auction Broadcasting Company) St. Louis, a St. Louis metro east based automobile auctioning company located in Centreville, IL. They are one of the largest auto auctioning companies in the U.S. with locations in Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Bowling Green, KY, Columbus, GA, Detroit-Toledo, OH, and Orlando, FL. We provided graphic design services and art direction/coordination of a photo shoot.

New Hauser Group WordPress Website Goes Live

The new website we designed for The Hauser Group recently launched.ย  It was built in WordPress using a custom designed theme.ย  We also addedย custom features to make the site easier to maintain for the Hauser staff.ย  Features include a Twitter and news/blog feed on the home page, a customized admin section so they can add, edit and remove their projects and case studies easily, Google Analytics for tracking and statistics, rotating testimonials and more. WordPress Website Redesign for St. Louis Area Energy & Construction Management Company

Visual Lure was recently contracted to redesign Sitton Construction Group’s website.ย  Web built the original website in 2007 with HTML and CSS and are redesigning the new website in WordPress and custom PHP to make it easy for the staff at Sitton to maintain.ย  We will be creating a custom admin section where they can add, edit and remove projects along with an integrated WordPress blog serving as a news page.ย  Below are the two initial home page design options we provided the client. Check back soon for more information and the launch of the new website.

After Sitton reviewed our initial home page design options, they chose to go with the blue design but decided to break the website down into two sections: Construction Management and Energy Management. Here is the new landing page that will direct users to select the section of the website they would like to visit.
