Logo Design for Washington D.C. Photographer

Posted on April 26, 2013

Visual Lure is in the process of designing a new logo for You In Focus, a Washington D.C. based photography company owned by Olga Miroshnichenko.ย  She too contracted Visual Lure after seeing our work featured on Salvatore Cincotta’s Creative Live workshop.

Olga wanted to use her full name for her company but knew it would be hard to spell and pronounce for some of her clientele. For this reason, she decided to name her company You In Focus Photography.ย  We felt, You In Focus, didn’t sound like a luxury brand so we recommended shortening her last name and just using Olga Miro for the company name.ย  Below are a couple logos we designed for You In Focus and underneath those are the logos we created for Olga Miro Photography.ย  Check back soon to see what directions Olga decides to take.

side note: even though we absolutely love the (first column, second row) You In Focus logo below, we feel it doesn’t match the type of brand Olga is trying to create. Why do we love it?ย  Because the company name is You In Focus and the letter U is in focus.ย  How genius is that?

Visual Lure recently completed a new logo design for Albers Photography, a St. Louis area photographer based out of Wildwood, MO.ย  Mike Albers, the owner, hired us after seeing our branding work that was featured on Salvatore Cincotta’s Creative Live workshop.ย  Below are our initial logo designs, and underneath those, are the final logos (vertical & horizontal formats) and the A watermark.

Side note: Our favorite logo design (the one where the camera and tripod create the letter A) was not chosen.

Logo design for Redding California Photographer

Visual Lure was recently contracted to redesign Nicole Chelonis Photography’s logo.ย  Nicole is a professional photographer located in Redding, California and she contacted us after seeing our work on Salvatore Cincotta’s Creative Live workshop.ย  After our initial consultation, Nicole provided us with some logos she liked.ย  Most of them had a vintage feel and she was really drawn to seal and label looking logos.ย  She also wanted to explore using a turtle as chelonis translates to turtle in Greek.ย  Below, you can see some of our initial logo design concepts, and underneath those, you can see her final logos.

Full Branding Package for Photography Company Featured on Creative Live

Posted on April 19, 2013

As seen on Creative Live by Salvatore Cincotta

Salvatore Cincotta recently contracted Visual Lure to design a complete branding/identity package for one of his lucky on-screen viewers at Creative Live.ย  Gray Photography, soon to be Jeff & Jewels Photography, was the lucky viewer who received the gift.ย  Included was a new logo design, a stationary/identity package, and a custom WordPress website home page layout.ย  Sal also requested that we show our design process along the way.ย  Below you will see everything from initial logo design sketches to final home page design.

After our initial consultation with the client, they decided that “vintage” and “modern” were what they wanted their image to portray.ย  They wanted it to look high-end yet have a vintage charm, similar to their style of photography. They also wanted to stick with a black and white color theme, which is always a great color pallet for photographers. It allows the photography itself to really stand out.

Here are some of our initial logo design sketches:

Next, we took the sketches into the computer and developed the initial batch of logo design options.ย  Here are all the initial logos we provided the client:

Once we received feedback, we made a couple minor adjustments to three logos they selected.ย  Here they are:

The client loved all three and had a hard time deciding, but in the end, they selected the logo design at the bottom. Here is the final logo and stationary/identity package including fonts and patterns.

To wrap up the package, we designed a custom WordPress website home page layout.ย  Here it is:

Logo Design Package for Annapolis, Maryland Photographer

Posted on March 1, 2013

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design multiple new logos for David Hartcorn Photography.ย  David Hartcorn is a very talented professional photographer from Annapolis, Maryland and he knew exactly what he wanted for his new logo.ย  He wanted a custom typeface logo inspired by his actual signature.ย  Below you can see his actual signature along with the final logo.ย  The new logo needed to be refined so that it was legible, but still maintain the same “feel” as his signature.

Next, we designed a logo for David’s premier photography line called Black Label Collection. He wanted the Black Label logo to look classy and high-end.ย  You can see that logo design below along with an unused logo option to the right of it. Below that, you can see a logo for his sub-brand Studio 98 Photography and a secondary “cartoon” mark he sometimes uses with his signature.
