Logo, Identity & Packaging Design for St. Louis Metro East Photographer

Posted on May 6, 2014

Niche Photography, a St. Louis Metro East photography studio owned by the talented Chad Keffer, recently came to Visual Lure to help re-brand his company.ย  Niche main focus is on engagement and wedding photography but they have recently been dabbling into baby and children’s photography too.

Chad’s old logo consisted of a common handwritten script that seemed a little generic. He wanted his new logo to feel rich and upscale.ย  During our creative brief we asked Chad to provide us with sample logos that he really liked. Many of the samples he provided us were very ornate, so we decided to head in that direction.

Below is the final logo, the final letterhead system and initial packaging options, which we are currently working on.ย  We may also be designing Niche a new website, so check back soon to see how we start to visually pull his entire brand together.ย  In the meantime, check Niche out at niche-photography.com, or facebook.com/NichePhotographySTL.

Shabby Jack Photography’s Print Ad Design & Packaging

Posted on December 9, 2013

Visual Lure designed a couple of logos for Shabby Jack Photography a while back and they recently contacted us to design a new print ad.ย  They also developed new packaging, which they handled themselves, using the two logos we created for them.ย  It is always nice to see our clients implementing our logos properly and in such a high quality way.

Here is the new ad we designed for them:

CD Packaging Design for U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America

Posted on June 19, 2013

A while back, Visual Lure was contracted by the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America (stationed at Scott Air Force Base) to design CD packaging for a new album dedicated to Clifton Williams, a famous composer and Air Force veteran.ย  The CDs turned out beautiful and we finally got around to photographing them.ย  They were printed on a nice textured uncoated card stock with Clifton’s signature embossed and foil stamped on the cover.

The cover design features Clifton’s signature, a collage made from three different images and a subtle classic border.ย  The inside covers have an additional photograph of Clifton along with some of his sketches and doodles.

The initial goal was to create packaging that felt vintage, and classy, and we think we succeeded at both.

St. Louis Packaging Design for Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaners

Posted on June 13, 2013

A St. Louis Metro East manufacturer of automatic toilet bowl cleaners recently contracted Visual Lure to design its new packaging. They haven’t decided on whether to use the name Bright Bowl or Brite Bowl, and they wanted to have packaging design options for both.ย  However, once they reviewed our initial design options, they may utilize both.

Of their two main competitors, one uses blue packaging and the other uses green. They wanted their product to look completely different so they didn’t want to uses either of those colors. They also wanted their product to appeal to their main target audience, women, so we decided to use the color purple.ย  Color studies and research have shown that women like it.

Below are the two packaging design options we provided.ย  Check back soon to see if they use one design or both.

Packaging Design for Feline Related Products

Posted on December 8, 2011

Visual Lure recently finished these two package designs for feline products developed by a St. Louis area pharmaceutical company. One is for feline hairball control and the other aids in the management of feline Herpes Virus-1 related diseases. Unlike many cat medicines, these are pleasant tasting to felines, making them easy to administer for pet owners. These products are sold exclusively by veterinarians.

UPDATE: The complete Capilex packaging design printed and photographed.

Package Design for New USAF Academy Band CD

Posted on November 9, 2011

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design the packaging for a new USAF CD titled Sonata in Blue.ย  It will feature the Rampart Winds of the United States Air Force Academy Band.ย  The band provided the following direction: “We want to visually showcase the five individuals that make up the quintet. ย Not necessarily with their pictures, but with some other representation. ย The instruments used are flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn. ย We would like to the cover to be recognizable as an Air Force product in some fashion…”

With this guidance, we came up with the concept of five F16s (representing the quintet) flying in formation with music (notes and symbols) coming out of the jet’s contrails (exhaust).ย  Below is our initial proposed cover. Check back soon to see the finished product.
