Visual Lure designs a Christmas card every year for Holland Construction Services, a St. Louis area contractor/construction company.ย This year’s card features a jolly crane operator, wearing his HCS hard hat, lifting a huge Holland 25 year anniversary ornament with a Christmas tree and St. Louis skyline in the background.
Visual Lure was recently contracted to design the packaging for a new USAF CD titled Sonata in Blue.ย It will feature the Rampart Winds of the United States Air Force Academy Band.ย The band provided the following direction: “We want to visually showcase the five individuals that make up the quintet. ย Not necessarily with their pictures, but with some other representation. ย The instruments used are flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn. ย We would like to the cover to be recognizable as an Air Force product in some fashion…”
With this guidance, we came up with the concept of five F16s (representing the quintet) flying in formation with music (notes and symbols) coming out of the jet’s contrails (exhaust).ย Below is our initial proposed cover. Check back soon to see the finished product.
TWM, a St. Louis area engineering firm, recently contracted Visual Lure to create custom illustrated Christmas cards this year.ย With complete creative control, we designed a card that features a couple of piggybacking elves working with a snowman on a land survey.ย We also added a red gloved engineer inspecting a “season’s greetings” blueprint, and to finish it off, we added a snowy St. Louis skyline.ย In addition to design services, we also wrote the copy: “We hope all your plans and dreams are fulfilled this holiday season!”.

Justen Hong of Visual Lure can up with the concept and wrote the copy, and the illustration was a collaboration between he and Ev Rein.
Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a website for a St. Louis based photography album company.ย The main pages and blog will be built in Word Press so that the client can easily maintain those sections. There will also be a very robust back-end store, a virtual album builder with live price quoting and custom admin sections that will be built in PHP.ย Below is our proposed home page design. Check back soon for the official launch of the new website.
