Logo Design & WordPress Web Design for Chicago Illinois Photography Company

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a new logo and custom WordPress website for Allusion Photography, a Chicago, IL photography company specializing in Engagements, Weddings, Boudior and Seniors. The new website will be built using a custom WordPress theme along with custom plugins which will make it easy for the client to maintain her gallery, slideshows and blog. Visual Lure will also be providing search engine optimization (SEO) services, guidance and training in order for the client to build a strategic long-term SEO strategy.

Family Crest/Coat of Arms for the Broyles, a St. Louis Metro East Family

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a custom family crest/coat of arms for the Broyles, a St. Louis Metro East family. Using design elements taken from both sides of his family crests, plus adding new elements, we combined them to create a new custom coat of arms. Our client wanted the new crest to look centuries old, so we drew the entire crest by hand and kept that feel when we converted it into digital artwork.

Logo Design for St. Louis Recycling Company

Visual Lure was recently contracted to redesign a logo for St. Louis Recycling, a St. Louis recycling company that offers single stream recycling. Single stream recycling refers to the system in which all paper, cardboard and plastic containers are mixed together in a collection truck, instead of having to be sorted into separate commodities by the business and handled separately throughout the collection process. This makes it easier, and more convenient, for companies to recycle.

We design a large amount of logos for companies in St. Louis, and we usually cringe when one of them request us to use the St. Louis Gateway Arch in the logo design. Why? Because the Arch tends to be overused in St. Louis logos, but sometimes it just makes sense, and this is one of those cases. The new logo features the St. Louis arch integrated into the universal symbol for recycling. A clever, simple and memorable logo.

Justen Hong of Visual Lure Writes Logo Design Article in Shutter Magazine

Justen Hong of Visual Lure recently wrote a featured article in the December 2012 issue of Shutter Magazine entitled “7 Steps To Creating a More Meaningful Logo“. To read it, all you need to do is sign up for the magazine, it’s all online and it’s FREE!

Shutter Magazine is an educational magazine for professional photographers that is a true multi-media experience merging print, video, and audio. It features tips on photography techniques, but more importantly tips on how to run a successful photography business. Its contributors are a list of who’s who in the photography industry including: Salvatore Cincotta, Skip Cohen, Michael Corsentino, Dave Cross, Vanessa Joy, Justin & Mary Marantz, Lori Nordstrom, Blair Phillips, and Jen Rozenbaum just to name a few.

Logo Design for a Professional Photographer in Germany

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a new logo for Thomas Wusher Photography, a talented professional photographer from Germany. In our research and discovery stage, he provided the following information: “What I want is a logo to “sign” my work and products with that has a touch of luxury and personality. I love logos that look handwritten. It has to be easy to read, print, and emboss, because I want to use it online, on my business papers, embossing on albums and on the packaging of my goods.” Below are his old logo, the new logo design and a couple of our initial logo design options. Logo Design/Branding for St. Louis Area Roofing Company

Visual Lure was recently contracted to design a new logo and provide branding services for Performance Roofing, Inc., a locally owned and operated, St. Louis, MO roofing company that has been in business since 1976. They are a full service roofing company serving both residential and commercial properties in St. Louis, MO and the St. Louis Metro East, Illinois. Below are our initial two logo designs along with a sample business card and truck decal layout. The first logo contains a red “P” for Performance and an overlapping roof line when combined with the red “P” creates the letter “R” for roofing. The second logo creates both the letters “P” and “R” also and are placed on top of a shield. The shield represents strength and protection, the two most important aspects of a quality roof.

UPDATE: Performance Roofing has selected their new logo and have started lettering their truck fleet. We are also in the process of a complete rebrand. More updates to come.
