Five Award-Winning Visual Lure Logo’s Selected for LogoLounge Book 15

I present to you, our five award-winning logos (two of which are Visual Lure logos):

…and a breakdown of each logo:

This is a logo option for Visual Lure. It features two hands holding an eye, representing our company tagline: โ€œProfessional Eye-Catchers™.โ€ The hands also form the letter V for VisualLure.

This is another Visual Lure logo. It is a badge logo and features a smooth curved modern eye in the middle of a crest.

This was an unselected logo option for a company called Mach 3 Business Solutions, a business consulting agency based in Houston, Texas. The logo features an aircraft launching into the atmosphere, with its trail forming three lines and the letter M for Mach 3.

This was an unselected logo option for an internal program at a large excavating company, Brewster Companies, Inc. It features a flag with the Brewster logo on it, placed at the summit of a mountain.

Hereโ€™s the story behind this logo. Visual Lure was originally contracted to design billboards for Ole Red, an Hโ‚‚S scavenging company. We werenโ€™t hired to work on the logo, but during a flight with nothing to do, I started resketching it because the original design really bothered me. It had too much detail in certain areas, the lines felt choppy and unrefined, and when reduced to a small size it looked messy. I refined the lines to make them smooth and removed much of the unnecessary detail to simplify the mark. Ironically, they decided not to use it and stayed with the original. Here is a side by side:

DOGNOSH, a Healthy Dog Treat Brand, Launches!

Visual Lure had the pleasure of designing the logo, branding, visual identity, and packaging for DOGNOSH โ€” a new line of healthy, purpose-driven dog treats.

DOGNOSH is on a mission to raise the standard for what people feed their dogs. Each treat is crafted with a short list of wholesome, recognizable ingredientsโ€”completely free from fillers, artificial flavors, preservatives, or anything unnecessary. Two of their treatsโ€”Chicken and Sweet Potatoโ€”are true single-ingredient options, made with nothing but the real thing.

The initial launch includes four products:

  • Beef Meatballs โ€“ USDA-inspected beef, freeze-dried for freshness
  • Dehydrated Chicken Breast โ€“ single-ingredient, nothing else
  • Peanut Butter & Carob Chews โ€“ a delicious, grain-free, plant-based favorite
  • Dehydrated Sweet Potato โ€“ single-ingredient, nutrient-rich, and dog-approved

 

Made in the USA. Rooted in rescue. Backed by purpose. Thatโ€™s DOGNOSH.

They also give back with every purchaseโ€”a portion of proceeds supports shelter dogs still waiting for their forever homes.

Justen Hong Becomes Jury Member for DesignRush Awards

I was recently invited to serve as a jury member for the DesignRush Awards. DesignRush meticulously evaluates and shortlists outstanding designs across categories such as web design, logo design, print design, package design, and more. These shortlisted designs are then reviewed by the Design Awards Jury, which consists of seasoned industry experts with extensive experience in design, development, marketing, and advertising. Their role is to objectively assess each project, using their expertise to evaluate the quality and creativity of the work.

As jury members, we are presented with a shortlist of candidates in each design category and tasked with rating each submission on a scale of one to ten. The design that achieves the highest average score is honored with the prestigious Design Award.

In conjunction with my selection as a jury member, DesignRush conducted an interview with me. Here is an excerpt from that interview:

Justen Hong was recently featured in VoyageSTL’s “Most Inspiring Stories in St. Louis.” VoyageSTL aims to spotlight the amazing individuals who bring life and vibrancy to the St. Louis, MO area. The publication highlights incredible artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, and change-makers, celebrating their unique stories.

VoyageSTL is part of the LA-based Voyage Group of Magazines. Their mission is to promote small businesses, artists, creatives, and makers by providing a platform for these hidden gems to share their stories in their own words.
