Rebranding a Local O’Fallon, IL Orthodontics Practice

Visual Lure recently worked with a local orthodontic practice to refresh their logo and implement a subtle rebrand in preparation for their upcoming move to a new location. Because the practice is already well established and widely recognized in the area, it had built strong brand equity over the years. With that in mind, our initial approach was to preserve the familiarity of the existing brand while giving it a more refined and contemporary feel. Rather than reinventing the identity, we proposed a thoughtful logo update that would modernize the look while maintaining the elements patients already associate with the practice.

After reviewing the initial concept, they asked if we could incorporate a sun element to reflect their new tagline, “Share Joy, Smile Bright”. They had also selected a new color palette inspired by the colors chosen for their upcoming location, which they wanted the refreshed identity to reflect. In addition, they felt the typeface we selected for ORTHODONTICS wasn’t quite the right fit, so we explored alternative font options that better aligned with the updated direction.

BEHIND THE SCENES WORK

We also presented an additional concept to ensure the updated logo was truly what they wanted. This option explored a cleaner, more modern approach, giving them the opportunity to consider a bolder evolution of the brand before committing to the initial direction.

DogNosh Dog Treats is Expanding their Product Line

We had the privilege of designing their logo, complete branding package, and first line of healthy dog treats—and we’re excited to share that they’re now available in all local Dierbergs grocery stores. Congratulations to the team on this huge milestone.

With that success, they’re expanding into gas stations and convenience stores with two new MINI BONES flavors: Pumpkin & Cranberry and Peanut Butter & Blueberry. Like their original line, these treats contain no added preservatives or chemicals, no corn, soy, or wheat, and no artificial colors or dyes.

ABOUT DOGNOSH

DOGNOSH is built around simple, honest ingredients and a commitment to doing better for dogs. Two of their original four recipes are made with just one ingredient, focusing on purity and nutrition without unnecessary fillers. Every treat is crafted without artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, or harsh additives. Beyond the ingredients, DOGNOSH also gives back, donating a portion of each sale to help shelter dogs on their journey to finding a forever home.

Logo Designs for a St. Louis Alfa Romeo Restoration Company

We recently had the opportunity to design an entire logo collection for Classic Motoring STL, a St. Louis–based company that specializes in the restoration and repair of vintage Alfa Romeos. Founded by Harden Ervin and Brandon Benack, the shop combines more than 40 years of experience and a shared passion for classic automobiles. Our goal was to create a brand identity that reflects their expertise, craftsmanship, and appreciation for timeless automotive design — something that feels both authentic to the Alfa Romeo legacy and distinctly their own.

Our initial round of explorations took inspiration from vintage Alfa Romeo logos, which we adapted into various Classic Motoring STL logo options. Below are the initial proposed designs:

…and after multiple rounds of revisions, here is a sampling of the final collection. The designs were inspired by classic Alfa Romeo badges, featuring a custom CM monogram, bespoke typography wrapped within traditional Alfa-style grille shapes, and a reimagined logotype inspired by the original script.Classic Motoring Logo Designs

This is a logo option for Visual Lure. It features two hands holding an eye, representing our company tagline: “Professional Eye-Catchers™.” The hands also form the letter V for VisualLure.

This is another Visual Lure logo. It is a badge logo and features a smooth curved modern eye in the middle of a crest.

This was an unselected logo option for a company called Mach 3 Business Solutions, a business consulting agency based in Houston, Texas. The logo features an aircraft launching into the atmosphere, with its trail forming three lines and the letter M for Mach 3.

This was an unselected logo option for an internal program at a large excavating company, Brewster Companies, Inc. It features a flag with the Brewster logo on it, placed at the summit of a mountain.

Here’s the story behind this logo. Visual Lure was originally contracted to design billboards for Ole Red, an H₂S scavenging company. We weren’t hired to work on the logo, but during a flight with nothing to do, I started resketching it because the original design really bothered me. It had too much detail in certain areas, the lines felt choppy and unrefined, and when reduced to a small size it looked messy. I refined the lines to make them smooth and removed much of the unnecessary detail to simplify the mark. Ironically, they decided not to use it and stayed with the original. Here is a side by side:

DOGNOSH, a Healthy Dog Treat Brand, Launches!

Visual Lure had the pleasure of designing the logo, branding, visual identity, and packaging for DOGNOSH — a new line of healthy, purpose-driven dog treats.

DOGNOSH is on a mission to raise the standard for what people feed their dogs. Each treat is crafted with a short list of wholesome, recognizable ingredients—completely free from fillers, artificial flavors, preservatives, or anything unnecessary. Two of their treats—Chicken and Sweet Potato—are true single-ingredient options, made with nothing but the real thing.

The initial launch includes four products:

  • Beef Meatballs – USDA-inspected beef, freeze-dried for freshness
  • Dehydrated Chicken Breast – single-ingredient, nothing else
  • Peanut Butter & Carob Chews – a delicious, grain-free, plant-based favorite
  • Dehydrated Sweet Potato – single-ingredient, nutrient-rich, and dog-approved

 

Made in the USA. Rooted in rescue. Backed by purpose. That’s DOGNOSH.

They also give back with every purchase—a portion of proceeds supports shelter dogs still waiting for their forever homes.
